Therapeutic and Executive Function Coach
Coral Rakovski recently completed her PhD in the McMaster Neuroscience Graduate Program, where she conducted research on mood disorders such as bipolar disorder and major depressive disorder, as well as substance misuse among youth. Her academic training is complemented by significant practical experience working with children and adolescents in various educational and developmental settings.
Coral’s professional background includes roles as an academic and executive function coach at NowWhat, head teaching assistant at McMaster University, an associate faculty member at a private boarding and day school, and summer camp director. Through these positions, she has developed a deep understanding of the challenges youth face and the strategies needed to support their growth and well-being.
Having returned to NowWhat after her studies, Coral is currently serving as a lead facilitator for the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) team, where she leads groups and works with individuals and families, and also works on executive function skills with 1:1 clients. Her trademark smile, confidence, and positive energy help her command a room and build rapport easily with clients of all ages!
Outside of her professional life, Coral enjoys cooking, exercising, and engaging in outdoor activities such as snowboarding and running.
