Communicative Disorders Assistant

Meg Roberts is a Communicative Disorders Assistant in the PowerUp program at NowWhat. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Education, as well as a Communicative Disorders Assistant Graduate Certificate from St. Lawrence College.

Meg brings extensive experience supporting neurodiverse children and teens across a variety of settings, including summer camps, in-home support, day programs, and clinical environments. She is passionate about recognizing and valuing all forms of communication, empowering individuals to express themselves, and fostering positive, meaningful interactions.

Specializing in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), Meg works with both high-tech communication devices and low- to mid-tech communication systems. She focuses on developing individualized communication toolboxes tailored to each client’s unique strengths and needs—supporting skills that range from expressing wants and needs to navigating social relationships. Grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming approach, Meg prioritizes regulation and sensory support, understanding that learning happens best when individuals feel safe, supported, and truly understood.

Outside of her professional role, Meg enjoys spending time with her two dogs, coloring, practicing Pilates, and being with her family and friends.
