TORI PICKERING

Tori is a therapeutic coach with the PowerUp program who supports neurodivergent individuals in ways that honour their unique strengths, identities, and ways of experiencing the world. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a graduate certificate in Autism and Behaviour Science. She is passionate about creating inclusive, accessible experiences that respect each person’s sensory preferences and needs.

With eight years of experience working alongside autistic children and youth, Tori is committed to meeting each individual exactly where they are. She prioritizes relationship-building, trust, and collaboration, using a child-led, strengths-focused approach. Tori thoughtfully incorporates each person’s interests into shared activities, recognizing these passions as powerful tools for connection, engagement, and growth.

Tori is passionate about ongoing learning and growth, and she collaborates with a range of professionals to coordinate meaningful professional development opportunities for the PowerUp team.  Outside of work, Tori enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, and watching cheesy reality TV!
