Samantha Mora [BA Hons. Social Psychology] brings extensive experience working with children and adolescents as a certified recreational gymnastics coach and youth wellness worker. She holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Social Psychology, with a minor in Mental Health and Addictions, from McMaster University. Sam also worked as a client advocate in a women’s shelter in downtown Hamilton and collaborated with mental health professionals at St. Joseph’s Healthcare to support the launch of a Mental Health Support Worker program.
At NowWhat, Sam has developed a broad and versatile skill set through her work as a Therapeutic Care Coordinator, where she supported senior therapists in managing complex cases, developing and administering teen programming, and advocating for both youth and their families.
Sam brings her passion for mental health and her dedication to supporting families into her current role, where she works as a Therapeutic & Executive Function Coach to help individuals navigate challenges through tailored therapeutic support. She integrates a range of approaches, including DBT-informed, CBT-informed, empowerment-based, strengths-based, and neuroaffirming practices. Sam thoughtfully adapts each approach to meet her clients’ unique needs, ensuring they feel supported as they navigate their journey.
Sam works with children and adolescents in both individual and group settings. Her warmth and humour foster a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and building meaningful connections.
In her free time, Sam enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Rusty and Rosie. She loves reading mystery thrillers and fantasy novels, and enjoys attending Pilates classes.
