KELSEY MCPHERSON

She/Her

Therapeutic Coach

Kelsey McPherson [CYC] is a dedicated Child and Youth Care Practitioner who brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. Living with a disability and navigating the mental health system from a young age has deeply informed her compassionate and authentic approach to supporting others.

Kelsey uses a trauma-informed, strength-based, and neurodiversity-affirming lens when working with children and families. Over the past five years, she has held a variety of meaningful roles, including Program Manager for a day program supporting adults with disabilities, school-based support in a DIR-focused environment for children with ASD, and Youth Support Worker/Family Mentor for families with a parent involved in the justice system. Across all of these roles, Kelsey has focused on developing engaging and meaningful programming that empowers individuals and fosters connection.

In her current role, Kelsey supports elementary-aged children in our alternative day program, PowerUp, for children with multi-layered needs.  She is passionate about creating safe, validating spaces where young people feel seen, heard, and supported—especially those who may have felt misunderstood or overlooked.

Outside of her professional life, Kelsey is a proud mom to a one-year-old daughter and a devoted cat mom to five furry friends. She finds joy and grounding in nature, spending time outdoors, and expressing herself through drawing and other creative outlets.
