Jennifer Pamplin [HBA Sociology/Social Work & Psychology, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)] is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with nearly two decades of experience supporting children and families. Her work has included supporting adoptive families and children within the child welfare system, as well as working with individuals with diverse and complex needs, including ADHD, FASD, learning disabilities, and trauma-related behavioural presentations. She has been involved in training foster, adoptive, and kin caregivers in therapeutic, trauma-informed parenting and brings extensive case management experience to our Children’s DBT programs. In this role, she supports families in navigating the DBT process at NowWhat, while also providing psychotherapy to adults and guidance to parents facing challenging situations.
She is a lifelong learner who is currently practicing psychotherapy under supervision. Her training spans a range of areas, including early childhood development, attachment, family systems approaches to therapy, and anxiety-related concerns. She holds Brain Story Certification and continues to pursue advanced training in DBT.
Jennifer believes that every child and family can thrive when provided with the right support, encouragement, and practical skills. Jennifer is a mother to three children and brings personal experience supporting neurodiverse and complex developmental needs within her family. In her spare time, Jennifer is actively involved in her faith community and enjoys puttering in her flower garden and walking in the woods.
