Jennifer Pamplin [HBA Sociology/Social Work & Psych, RP Cand.] comes to NowWhat with 17 years of experience supporting children and families in the Child Welfare Sector. For several years she worked specifically with adoptive families and children with special needs. She has been involved in training foster, adoptive and kin parents in therapeutic, trauma-informed parenting, and brings her extensive case management experience to our Children’s DBT programs, helping families navigate their DBT journey at NowWhat, as well as supporting those working through challenging parenting situations.
She is a lifelong learner, currently working towards her Psychotherapy certification, and has trained across a wide range of topics, including addictions and substance abuse, attachment, and anxiety disorders, as well as having her Brain Story Certification and undergoing continuing training in DBT.
Jennifer believes that every family and child can thrive given the right support, encouragement and skills.
Jennifer is the mother of three fantastic children and has personal experience managing ADHD, FASD, learning disabilities, and trauma-related behaviours. In her spare time, Jennifer is very involved in her faith community. She also loves to putter in her garden and walk in the woods.
