(They/he)

Executive Function Coach & Family Mediator

Dan Zaitzow [B.A., B.Ed., OCT] Dan is a versatile therapeutic coach whose passion is helping youth and adults grow toward whatever success looks like for them in their personal and professional lives.
Dan understands that the success of every individual is tied to the quality of their relationships, and works to strengthen and support those relationships through family mediation. They coach parents on how to support their kid’s development as well as facilitate difficult conversations and creative conflict resolution.
Dan is trained in DBT for adolescents and works with our individualized Teen & Family DBT program.  They are skilled at addressing self-regulation and distress tolerance challenges alongside practical organization and learning strategies.
Dan began their career in education, finding their strength in modeling executive function skills in the classroom, and quickly expanded their skills to meet the widely varying needs of youth and adults.  With their unique knowledge of the education system, Dan is well-placed to support and advocate for any student’s needs at the middle school, high school, or post-secondary level.
Dan identifies as a member of the queer community and sits on the Advisory Committee of the Hamilton Trans Health Coalition. Dan enjoys a plethora of creative pursuits, always valuing the creative process over ‘perfection’.  They quilt, crochet, knit, read, bake, write comics AND they are a long-time Dungeons and Dragons player and experienced Dungeon Master. If that wasn’t enough to keep them busy, Dan is also a happy parent to two fantastic little people.
