Child Life Specialist
Angela Hayes [RECE, CLS, M. Ed.] has spent 23 years in the area of children’s mental health and development, the last 10 of which she has been teaching at the post-secondary level. Angela has extensive knowledge of child development and works with parents using a family-focused approach. Angela has a diverse portfolio with a degree in psychology, diplomas in Early Childhood Education, Resource Teaching and Infant Mental Health, as well as being a Child Life Specialist and having a Masters in Education.
Angela supports families struggling with challenging behaviours at home or in school/child care, who have experienced trauma, and/or are striving to enhance the parent-child relationship.
Angela enjoys being at the rink either playing hockey herself or watching her family members on the ice, as well as cooking and trying new foods in her own kitchen or in the community.
