There’s no better place to experience the calming, grounding effects of nature than in the forest. Physical activity and nature immersion are essential foundations for mental and emotional wellbeing. Combine these with therapeutic elements and you get NowNature! This program is fantastic option to for safe, distanced socialisation and is a great way to relieve screen fatigue.
Our experienced behaviour coaches and MSWs lead small groups of children on therepeutic forest journeys in our beautiful local trails, practicing mindfulness, social thinking and cooperative group behaviours. We focus on teamwork and learning to ‘be where our feet are’.
We head to the forest in all weather conditions, so there are plenty of built-in opportunities to practice distress tolerance, flexible thinking and resilience. Seasonally appropriate clothing and footwear is required. Check out our Calendar for current groups or Talk To Us for more info.
