MAVA PRIDDLE-GUINTHER

She/Her

Therapeutic Coach

Mava [SSW, BA] brings more than 20 years of experience in the social services field to her work at NowWhat, supporting children, youth, adults, and families across community, educational, and clinical settings.

She began her career at Kerry’s Place Autism Services, where she supported young adults with dual diagnoses in a residential setting. Her work included assisting individuals with daily living skills, employment, vocational development, and community participation. Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams, including mental health professionals, sparked her passion for helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve meaningful goals.

To deepen her understanding of how children and youth with disabilities are supported within the education system, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Disability Studies at Toronto Metropolitan University while working with the Peel District School Board. She later continued her work in education with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board.

Currently, she works as a Child and Youth Care Practitioner supporting students through AIM, an evidence-based program grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her approach focuses on helping young people develop resilience, psychological flexibility, emotional regulation, and skills that support long-term well-being.

She is currently completing her Master of Social Work and previously completed her clinical practicum at NowWhat, where she continues in a therapeutic role supporting our DBT families and individual clients as a Therapeutic Coach.  She is passionate about creating a collaborative, strengths-based therapeutic environment where clients feel supported, understood, and empowered to make meaningful change.

At the heart of her practice is a belief in the power of connection, growth, and lifelong learning. A parent of three herself, she is honoured to walk alongside individuals and families as they navigate challenges, build on their strengths, and work toward their goals.
When she’s not working or studying, Mava enjoys reading, rollerblading, and spending time outdoors, as well as volunteering with her local Pathfinders and Rangers units.
